Introduction
Welcome to Transparency Hub Network ("we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our platform, applications, and services. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Eligibility
To use our services, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
2. Account Registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
3. Use of Services
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes. You shall not:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
- Upload or transmit harmful, offensive, or misleading content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access our platform without prior written consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services
4. Membership and Associations
Our platform enables associations, clubs, alumni groups, and similar organizations to manage their membership. By joining an association through our platform:
- You agree to comply with the rules and policies set by that association
- Association administrators may access your membership data as necessary for management purposes
- We are not responsible for decisions made by association administrators regarding membership approval, suspension, or removal
5. Payments and Dues
- Membership dues, donations, and other payments are processed through third-party payment providers (e.g., Stripe, Paystack)
- You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize applicable charges
- Refund policies are determined by the respective association unless otherwise stated
- We are not liable for payment processing errors caused by third-party providers
- Auto-recurring payments, if enabled, will continue until cancelled by you or the association administrator
6. Intellectual Property
- All content, features, and functionality of the platform are owned by Transparency Hub Network and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
- You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our platform without express written permission
- Content you upload remains yours, but you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it in connection with providing our services
7. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our services, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
- Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
- We do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times
- We are not responsible for content posted by users or decisions made by association administrators
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Transparency Hub Network shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of your use of or inability to use our services.
10. Termination
- You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users or the platform
- Upon termination, your right to use the services ceases immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., intellectual property, limitation of liability) will remain in effect
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. You will be notified of significant changes through email or in-app alerts. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Please review them periodically.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
